The Peter Clarke Career Development Fellowship in Law
In July 2025, the College invited Law alumni to support a new Career Development Fellowship in Law in memory of Peter Clarke, Fellow and Tutor in Law from 1971 to 2009.
Thanks to the generosity of alumni across the decades, £150,000 was raised to establish the Fellowship and support an exceptional early career Law academic at Jesus.
The Fellowship gives a promising scholar the security and opportunity to develop their teaching and research, while contributing fully to the intellectual life of College. As Dr Miles Jackson, Sir David Lewis Fellow and Tutorial Fellow in Law, noted, this support comes at an important stage when the transition from doctoral study to a permanent academic post has become increasingly difficult.
We are sincerely grateful to everyone who supported the appeal and helped make the Fellowship possible.
