The Palestinian Crisis Scholarship
Following the success of our Ukrainian Student Support Fund, which provided financial assistance to three successive students from Ukraine through graduate studentships to College, a Scholarship to support talented students from conflict zones was launched at Jesus in partnership with the University.
The Crisis Scholarship is similar to the previous Junior Members Scholarship and is designed to provide Jesus with a more sustainable and agile funding framework, allowing us to respond effectively to global crisis situations and provide vital financial support and a collegiate home to qualifying students.
We look forward to welcoming the first recipient this academic year, who is from Pakistan and will be reading for an MSc in Software and Systems Security. It is thanks to the generous backing of our students, Fellows ad alumni that we have been selected as one of the 14 participating colleges in this programme. The student will benefit from their fees being covered as well as accommodation and living expenses. The financial support they will receive also includes visa sponsorship and immigration heath surcharge.
College is committed to providing support to all its members and hopes to create more opportunities for students impacted by global crises to join our community. Thank you to all those who supported this important appeal so generously.
